AP U.S. History

By Student Reporter Brenden Lopez

Recently, Lakeland College has decided to make Advanced U.S. History a college credit class. In order to receive the college credit, students will have to get an A or B for the semester and they must pay three hundred dollars. Mr. Claerbaut, the Advanced U.S. History teacher recommends that the students think about getting the credit because it is much cheaper and by getting college credits in high school the students will be going into college with more credits than some of the other freshman. By having more credits from the start, it allows the students to pick their classes first and possibly get better schedules. Almost all of the colleges in Wisconsin will accept the credits but some will not. Also, if students are planning on going to college out of state they will have to check with the college they are thinking of going to to see if they will accept the credits. Current students and future students should think about this and ask their parents about it as well.
